Panzhihua titanium dioxide industry is in urgent need of integration

the data shows that in 2012, the total output of titanium dioxide, titanium concentrate and titanium slag in the case of COMAC in Panzhihua reached 277600 tons, 1.908 million tons and 237000 tons respectively, accounting for 18.1%, 68% and 36.5% of the national total output respectively. The capacity utilization rate of titanium dioxide was 60.6%, lower than the national average level of 72.7%

At present, apart from China, there are less than 20 global titanium dioxide manufacturers with a total annual production capacity of 4.5 million tons, of which the top seven manufacturers account for 90% of the total production capacity. China has 48 titanium dioxide producers with a total capacity of 2.6 million tons, including 8 Panzhihua producers with a total capacity of 470000 tons

recently, the national titanium dioxide industry technological innovation strategic alliance has been recommended by the Ministry of industry and information technology as the pilot unit of the industrial technological innovation strategic alliance of the Ministry of science and technology. Among the existing 26 member units of the alliance, Panzhihua holds 7 seats. At present, there are three listed companies in the member units of the alliance
